Cuffe Owens, who married former reality show and television star Meghan O’Toole King on Monday, is the son of Valerie Owens and the nephew of United States President Joe Biden. The 42-year-old hosted the wedding at his parents’ residence in Pennsylvania.
Joe Biden, along with First Lady and wife Jill Biden, attended the event before returning to Washington DC after spending the weekend in hometown Wilmington, Delaware.
Cuffe, like his father Jack Owens, became an attorney in the United States and has formally been practicing law. According to US media reports citing ‘All California Attorneys’, Cuffe is currently associated with an organisation called Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson LLP.
Cuffe pursued his primary college education from Georgetown University, a private institution located in Washington DC. While pursuing a qualification in legal studies, Cuffe went to the University of South California, according to reports from US magazine.
The 42-year-old has been living in California’s Los Angeles since at least 2009, when he kicked off his legal career after being inducted into the state’s bar.
According to reports from the Delaware News Journal, Cuffe has often closely worked with his mother Valerie but has never directly stepped foot into American politics. Valerie, on the other hand, has been known to campaign for her brother Joe Biden.
Valerie Owens served as the campaign manager for Biden, who decided to run for the office in 1988 and 2008. Most recently, she was a senior advisor to Biden’s successful 2020 presidential campaign.
According to reports from CNBC, O’Toole King, Cuffe’s bride, has previously been married twice, with both unions ending in divorce. Between 2015 and 2018, she was married to Major League Baseball player Jim Edmonds. The second marriage was with Brad McDill.
