DeAndre Rashaun Hopkins was born on June 6, 1992. He is an American football wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL).
Raised by a single mother Sabrina Greenlee, DeAndre has a strong relationship with her. So much so that he credits her for his achievements and success. His mother held two jobs throughout his childhood and worked at an automotive factory. DeAndre’s father, on the other hand, passed away in a car accident on I-85 when DeAndre was barely five. He also has three siblings, two sisters and one brother. His two older siblings, Kesha and Marcus, are from a previous relationship his mother had.

DeAndre played college football at Clemson and managed to get drafted in the 2013 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans in the first round, landing as the 27th overall pick. This led him to sign a four-year contract of $7.68 million with the Texans, guaranteeing $6.18 million and a signing bonus of $3.98 million. DeAndre is a five-time Pro Bowler.

Furthermore, in his debut match, he recorded 5 receptions and 55yards against the San Diego Chargers. Despite not having a very successful rookie season due to bad coaching and underperformance by his teammates, he made it to the NFL All-Rookie Team for the 2013 season.
By 2015, he had managed to make his place in the team for good as the number one wide receiver. He finished with 111 receptions for 1521 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning his first-ever Pro Bowl nomination.
Hopkins renewed his deal with the Houston Texans on August 3, 2017. The $81 million five-year contract guarantees $49 million and a $7.5 million signing bonus. Interestingly, he was named as a First Team All-Pro in the 2017 season and was ranked 13th by his fellow players on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018.
