Cops sure are getting creative. In a Twitter post, Faridabad Police shared a picture of an alleged bike thief and used the lyrics of a song from 1997 Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Dil toh pagal hai’ to frame a funny caption. The post that has gone viral and has elicited huge response, features the alleged offender and the bike that was stolen.

The police used the popular lyrics ‘Bholi si surat, aankhon mein masti, door khadi sharmaaye, aaye haaye’ and twisted it to “bholi si surat, kaam mein susti, motorcycle churaye, haye (Innocent face, clumsy work, he steals motorcycles).”
Within hours, the pinned tweet attracted more than 6000 likes with people having fun with the caption. A user wrote, “At the age when he should be stealing hearts, he is stealing bikes.” Another user, playing on the song theme, wrote, “Meri nazar se tum dekho toh chor nazar woh aaye (If you look at him through my eyes, you will see him as a thief.”
Many police departments have earlier taken to Twitter with funny messages to convey their messages. On last New Year’s eve, Mumbai Police, known for their interesting posts, took to Twitter to advise people to stay home and stay safe in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
