Brown’s last quarter push ensured Boston Celtics rallied past Playoff rivals Brooklyn Nets, who had a 17-point lead at one point. Payton Pritchard also joined Brown in the last quarter stride, adding eight of his 10 in the final period. The game ended with a tally of 114-107.

Jayson Tatum added 19 points for the Celtics, who held Kevin Durant without a basket in the second half. Al Horford had 16 points while Daniel Theis scored 15 in Wednesday’s game.
Kyrie Irving, still reeling from a $50,000 fine for directing obscene gestures and profane language at Celtics fans during the first game, had just 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting.
Game two of the NBA Playoffs between the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets never had an obvious winner, with both teams constantly catching up to their trails. Each quarter had a different winner, it seemed.
Boston Celtics trailed the entire first half but finally caught up to tie it at 79 on a short jumper by Daniel Theis. The Nets were able to settle in and took a 90-85 edge to the final period.
Boston Celtics tied it up again at 92 early in the fourth on a leaner by Jaylen Brown and took their first lead of the game with 7:48 left on a jumper by Payton Pritchard, according to reports from Associated Press.

It was part of a 23-4 run that extended the Boston Celtics’ lead to 108-96. At his point, it had been almost three minutes since Brooklyn Nets had slammed one through the basket.
Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics will now meet on Saturday night for their third Playoff game of the season.
