Considered one of the best bowling sides in the Indian Premier League, the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been one of the most successful franchises of the tournament since their debut in 2013. They have qualified for the play-offs in each and every season ever since their maiden title victory in 2016.
Owned by the Sun TV Network, the team has the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana as their home ground.
In 2020, Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin have replaced Tom Moody and Simon Helmot as the Head Coach and Assistant Coach respectively. Australian batsman David Warner has replaced New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson as the captain of the team.
Although feared for their bowling attack, Warner on multiple occasions took charge of the batting and single-handedly won the match for his team winning three orange caps in the process. Having said that, the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, and Mohammad Nabi do make things easy for him. With the IPL starting from September 18 in the United Arab Emirates, the SunRisers Hyderabad will look forward to contesting with the other six teams and trying to secure their second title.
