Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday posted a tweet after the resignation of Navjot Singh Sidhu as Punjab Congress President and called him “not a stable man”.
This comment, by the former CM, comes a week after Captain Amarinder Singh stepped down as the Chief Minister of Punjab. On Tuesday, the former CM arrived at Chandigarh airport as he is scheduled to visit Delhi today.

According to ANI, Amarinder Singh will be leaving for Delhi from Chandigarh in the afternoon. It is also said that the former Punjab CM is likely to meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital.
However, Singh’s media advisor Raveen Thukral said that too much being read into former chief minister’s visit to Delhi. “He’s on a personal visit, during which he’ll meet some friends and also vacate Kapurthala house for the new CM. No need for any unnecessary speculation,” Thukral said.
On September 18, Captain Amarinder Singh resigned as the Chief Minister of Punjab, declaring that he feels “humiliated” and said he won’t accept state Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu as the next CM or the party face in the Assembly polls. Sidhu was made the state Congress chief earlier this year despite opposition by Amarinder Singh.
After resigning from the chief minister’s post, Amarinder Singh had said he felt “humiliated” as his leadership was questioned by the central leadership.
Amarinder dubbed Sidhu as “anti-national” and “dangerous”, saying he would pit a strong candidate against Sidhu in the upcoming assembly polls.
He had indicated he was still keeping his political options open, adding that he was talking to his friends before deciding on his future course of action.
