As she unveiled her cashmere fashion line Guest in Residence, the Palestinian-Dutch supermodel Gigi Hadid recently opened up on what it’s like to be a brand entrepreneur and said she’s not all that different from the rest of us.
Hadid also disclosed that she experiences imposter syndrome and that she will eventually have to retire from modelling.

The supermodel admitted to having imposter syndrome in an interview with Vogue. Imposter syndrome is the feeling of being a fraud and having ongoing self-doubt.
Who is Gigi Hadid?
Jelena Noura Hadid, aka Gigi Hadid, was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 23, 1995, to Palestinian Jordanian real estate entrepreneur Mohamed Hadid and former model Yolanda Hadid (née Van den Herik).
She is reportedly a descendant of the Prince of Nazareth and Sheik of Galilee through her father. Bella, and Anwar, her younger sister and brother, are models by profession. She and her siblings grew up on a ranch in Santa Barbara. After ten years, the family relocated to Beverly Hills.

Hadid graduated from Malibu High School in 2013, where she was the captain of the volleyball team and an equestrian. Soon after, she travelled to New York City to study criminal psychology at The New School. She put her academics on hold in order to focus on modelling.
Hadid’s modelling career started when she was found by Guess’s Paul Marciano when she was barely two years old. In 2011, she returned to modelling, and in 2012 she re-joined Marciano’s team and was chosen to be the face of a Guess campaign.

As an adult, Hadid went on to do three Guess ads and later made her New York Fashion Week debut in February 2014, walking for Desigual. This came after she signed up with IMG Models in 2013.
After a hot-cold relationship of six years with singer-songwriter Zayn Malik, the duo recently split up citing family issues. “They are not together right now. They are both good parents though. They co-parent. Yolanda is, of course, very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild,” a family friend was quoted by People.

Hadid and Malik are co-parents to their daughter Khai. Gigi’s representative told People, “Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time.”
