Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar in Mehsana district of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was born in a poor family and was the third child of Damodardas Mulchand Modi and Hiraben Modi. He was fearless and a patriot since childhood. On his 70th birthday, Opoyi brings you some candid moments of the Prime Minister’s childhood.

Opoyi met his cousin and childhood friend to know some unknown facts about the PM. His cousin Arvindbhai Narsinhdas Modi told Opoyi that the Prime Minister was fearless since his childhood. As a child, he used to take part in patriotic plays. He wished the PM good health on his 70th birthday.

PM Modi studied at Vadnagar’s Shri BN High School. During his schooltime, he used to take part in extracurricular activities.Opoyi also spoke to his childhood friend Shamaldas Modi. He talked about how fun-loving PM Modi was.

“One day in our school, Modi told me that one day they will be successful in life and have a big convoy of cars,” said his childhood friend.

He added, “As a child, Modi was fond of swimming and used to swim Vadnagar’s historic Sharmistha lake. He was so fearless that once he caught a hatchling with bare hands.”

Shamaldas Modi said PM Modi is more than a friend to me.

“When Modi was elected as the CM of Gujarat, he issued me a personal identity card paper so nobody could stop me and I was able to travel freely in the state,” said Shyamal.

He told Opoyi that he called Narendra Bhai a few days ago for 30 seconds and said that he wanted to visit him in Delhi. “He said come if you want to but I won’t be able to meet you.”

Wishing PM Modi on his birthday, he prayed for his long life.
