The police department confirmed that at least one person has died after sustaining “critical injuries” while another victim suffered a non-critical injury on her leg. Omaha Police Department has reported a shooting incident at Westroads mall in the city of Omaha, Nebraska while multiple suspects have fled the scene of the crime.
The unidentified victim was taken to Bergan Mercy Hospital in a serious condition with gunshot wounds, according to a press release published by the investigating authorities.

TMZ reported quoting eyewitnesses that police were responding to the situation in tactical gear while people present at the scene were running out to get to safety.

Lt. Neal Bonacci confirmed that the two suspects, who were seen on security camera footage, were being tracked down while the incident is being investigated.
Omaha Police Department has urged residents of the area to avoid being nearby while law enforcement officials will be doing a complete sweep of the mall as a precautionary measure. The mall will be sealed off for the rest of the day as investigations are underway.
