Two-time British Olympic snowboarder Aimee Fuller was seen flying over the River Thames on a hoverboard better known as eFoil. She flew past the parliament, The London Eye and Tower Bridge during her ride for over eight miles. In doing so, Fuller became the first woman ever to ride the Thames on eFoil.

“I discovered eFoil a year ago… the moment I tried it I had a vision – and there was an opportunity to do something nobody has ever done before,” Aimee told ITV News London.

“I think crazy and cool is the best way to describe it. It’s like something from Back to the Future,” she was quoted by BBC.

Efoiling has come as a hobby in the last few years. The board flies above the waterbody surface due to a hydrofoil that creates a lift. The surfboard has an electric propeller, which powers the board to move through the water. According to wind foiling company ‘Wind Foil Zone’, complete eFoil setups vary in price between $4,000 and $12,000. The eFoils can reach speeds of up to 35mph.
