Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is quite active on social media and is known to post about most Indian festivals, shared a social media post for his wife Jaya Bachchan on the occasion of Karva Chauth. Sharing a picture with Jaya Bachchan,  Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “T 4073 – Many Many Wishes on Karva Chauth. good luck all.” Amitabh and Jaya have been married for 47 years.

The photo shared by Bachchan is a still from their film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ but has been turned into a sketch with a filter. In the movie, Amitabh and Jaya played husband and wife.

The 2001 film was directed by Karan Johar and starred Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Both the actors were equally appreciated for their onscreen chemistry as well. The film also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukerji and Hrithik Roshan.

Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut also wished fans on the occasion of Karva Chauth. Explaining the importance of the festival, Kangana shared a long note about how Karva Chauth reignites love and romance between couples who get caught in their mundane lives.

The actor, who is known to be quite vociferous, asked non-believers to not ridicule the ones who are fasting.

Another celebrity from the entertainment industry to share their Krava Chauth posts is Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput. Sharing pictures of her mehndi-decorated hand on Instagram stories. The couple has returned from the Maldives, along with their kids, in time for the festival.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is busy with the shoot of his quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. He has so far invited several guests from the Bollywood industry including Hema Malini, Kriti Sanon,  Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia.
