Jake Paul’s bout against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley on Saturday came to a quick conclusion after the YouTube star knocked out his opponent with a swift right-handed punch in the sixth round.
Here is all you need to know about the highly awaited fight:
-The fight, which was organised in Florida’s Amalie Arena in Tampa, was actually a rematch. Paul originally challenged Tommy Fury for a fight, however, he later pulled out. Woodley stepped in for the fight.
-Woodley got off to a strong start on Saturday and threw in looping punches towards his opponent. However, Paul’s footwork seemed to be helping him against Woodley’s efforts, who later slowed down.
-The second round of the game seemed to be an equal fight from both sides. Paul landed a well-placed overhand right punch. Woodley later responded with a punch of his own.
-Both fighters turned on the pressure in the third round, seeking to land a winning blow to their opponent. A jab, which seemed to be accidental, caused Woodley to bleed.

-While the fourth round and fifth rounds were constant back and forth from the fighters, a little after 2 minutes in the sixth round, Paul landed the final punch, knocking out his opponent.
Paul continues to be undefeated and has maintained an impressive five-fight resume so far.
“It was a tough fight”, the social media influencer said in a statement after his match. He added, “I got the job done. I knew it would happen like that. Like a lumberjack. Timber”, according to MMA Fighting’s official website.
“This guy is a legend. Don’t take anything away from his career as a UFC champion. Respect him for taking this fight on two weeks’ notice cause Tommy Fury’s a b*tch and he backed out of the fight. This is a real fighter”, Paul said about his opponent.
