How you
start your day in the morning, decide your mental and physical well-being, and
your overall mood. During this ongoing pandemic, people have one health agenda
– that of boosting their immunity. Having a healthy immune system can work as a
shield and protect you against seasonal diseases and infections.

If you are
thinking about the ways to increase your immunity, follow these steps:
Meditation or yoga
Begin the day with meditation or yoga. Do ‘Balasana’ or child pose while sitting on your
bed – hold the position as long as you can. This helps in relaxing muscle
stiffness and improves the blood flow of the brain. Isn’t that great? Perform
basic breathing exercises to relax your mind and feel fresh.
Oil swishing
This might
sound weird, but it’s an ancient ayurvedic technique that involves the swishing
of cold-pressed virgin coconut oil for about five to seven minutes in the
mouth. You should do it on an empty stomach, immediately after you wake
up.
Drink water
Drink at
least two glasses of water to detoxify the body. You can also try having
fruit-infused water or just add lemon in lukewarm water.
Exercise
This is a
must – exercise regularly in the morning to rid the body of any lethargy. A
20-minutes workout session will help in charging your body physically for the
rest of the day. That’s not all, it will also improve your strength,
flexibility, and stamina.
Breakfast
Breakfast is
the most important meal of the day. It keeps you active for the rest of the day
– indulge in a wholesome, nutritious breakfast. Try adding a mix of protein,
carbs, and fiber to your meal.
