Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘The Family Man 2’, which has been in controversy for allegedly depicting the Eelam Tamils in an ‘objectionable manner, has finally been released on Over The Top (OTT) platform on Amazon Prime Video and it seems that the audiences are loving the season two more than season one.

Though the scheduled release date of the show was June 4, the makers surprised the fans by premiering on the OTT platform four hours before its scheduled time. Soon after that, social media users took to their handles to call it a ‘masterpiece’. Some of them even took to their handles to show their excitement for season 3.

Bajpayee returns as Srikant Tiwari in the show.  South actress Samantha Akkineni is making her digital debut with it in the role of an antagonist.

On Thursday, Bajpayee penned down a note for his fans before the release of the show.

“So the day is finally here… Every filmmaker has a tale to tell at the end of every project about its highs and lows. For us, The Family Man Season 2 has proved to be our most challenging project yet. These are difficult times for all of us. There isn’t anyone amongst us untouched by loss and suffering. While we mourn the tragic loss of lives, we are grateful for the heroic actions and courage of the frontline workers and everyone working tirelessly to provide aid during these times,” he wrote.
