Remember the 2017 MET Gala and how Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas made news for their entry together on the red carpet? Their chemistry was off the charts and felt like a start of something between the Desi Girl and one part of the pop act Jonas Brothers. Soon after, the duo became the talk of the town when their pictures while boat riding with their friends went viral on the web. Although not officially a couple yet, they graced the pre-engagement party of Akash Ambani together as each other’s date later. 

Of course, by then the whiff of their romance had spread everywhere. Well, as they say, the rest is history. After all, the world finally witnessed the coming together of two countries, culture, and religion in their highly-anticipated wedding at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in Dec 2018.

The duo had two big fat wedding ceremonies that were nothing short of magical – one, as per the Hindu traditions and the other, as per Christian. What makes the couple special is that they did not just cherish the confluence of two cultures in their wedding, but went ahead and made it a part of who they were. From Christmas to Karva Chauth, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas celebrate each other’s traditions and follow the rituals to the T. Be it being clad in traditional Indian attire on Diwali or strutting on a pavement in strappy sandals and Christmas sweaters watching the snowfall on a Christmas eve, the former Miss World and India’s ‘Jeeju’ do it all together and how! The progressive essence of their relationship has become something of a dream for people. In a country like India where the idea of a biracial and bicultural wedding is still yet to be normalised and fully accepted, their bond of love sets an example for many to change their outlook and absorb the warmth of love beyond cultures, religions and countries.
