Former WWE
Champion Daniel Bryan is reportedly on his way out of the company with reports
claiming he has signed a contract with rival All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The
40-year-old has chosen to let his WWE contract run out, and is now free to sign
elsewhere as he is a free agent and does not have a 90-day non-compete clause
in his contract.

According
to a report in Bodyslam.net, Bryan is “locked in” and has “100% already signed”
a deal AEW. Bryan’s last match in WWE was held on April 30, when he lost to Roman
Reigns in SmackDown’s “Championship vs Career” match. His WWE contract
reportedly expired on May 4.

According
to the report, Bryan has asked to work for less dates for comparable money, along
with the ability to work in Japan and creative control for his character. The
requests are reasonable for a superstar of Bryan’s stature and he has been
granted. The Tony Khan-founded wrestling promotion has already started chalking
up plans for his debut.

There were
speculations over his future after reports earlier this week claimed the company
did not include him in merchandising or action figure plans for the rest of the
year. In addition to Bryan, CM Punk is also reportedly on his way to AEW.

The signing
will be a big swoop for AEW, as Bryan is one of the biggest stars in
professional wrestling. Khan has hinted at more singings in the future, with
the company having already roped in Malakai Black and Andrade El Idolo
recently.

He is
currently taking time off from wrestling and is on vacation, but is expected to
get back in the ring soon.
