In the wake of rising coronavirus cases, Noida administration, on Thursday, imposed a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am till April 17, 2021. However, all movement of essential goods/commodities and essential/medical services shall be exempted.
Earlier on April 7, the Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration also urged residents of Noida and Greater Noida to inform them about the arrival of outsiders in their area for COVID-19 surveillance.
According to a report in PTI, residents can use the COVID-19 control centre’s helpline number, 18004192211, for conveying this information.
Ajay Shankar Pandey Ghaziabad DM also said that a night curfew has been imposed from 10 pm to 5 am in Ghaziabad district. The order comes into effect from tonight.
District Magistrate Suhas LY had recently directed all concerned officials to ramp up contact tracing of new COVID-19 cases and ensure their surveillance in order to check the spread of the deadly virus.
As cases rise, India on Wednesday recorded 126,789 new cases of COVID-19. 685 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours. With the new cases, the country’s total virus tally has reached 12,928,574. With 685 deaths, 166,862 people have died of the disease.

There are 910,319 active COVID-19 cases, while 11,851,393 have recovered.
252,677,379 samples have been tested for COVID-19, till April 7.
India started its mass vaccination drive against coronavirus on January 16. Till now, 90,198,673 people have received at least a single dose of one of the two COVID-19 vaccines approved by India.
