Former US President Barack Obama said that Donald Trump takes responsibility for nothing while he takes credit for everything. Obama made the statement in an interview with former campaign manager David Plouffe which was aired on Spotify.

He also said that Democrats now need to focus on increasing voter turn out. Stating that the single thing he is concerned about between now and November, is the voter turn out, Obama said, “We should do everything humanly possible to ensure that everybody who wants a change in the administration actually registers that change at the ballot box, whether that is in person or by mail-in voting.”
He also said that Joe Biden made a terrific decision by choosing Kamala Harris as his running mate. Obama also criticised Trump’s stance on mail-in voting stating that he is seeing for the first time a President who is openly trying to discourage people from voting.

“What we’ve never seen before is a President say, ‘I’m going to try to actively kneecap the postal service to encourage voting and I will be explicit about the reason I’m doing it,” Obama said.
Trump had been criticising the mail-in voting for months stating that it would lead to “one of the greatest frauds in history.” He also rejected the legislation that contains the provision for emergency funding for the postal agency so as to block the ‘mail-in’ vote.
