Patel finished his spell against Hyderabad with three
wickets while giving away 33 runs. He sent the SRH captain Kane Williamson back
to the dugout after he was well set and playing on 31.
Jason Holder’s innings came to an end on 16 runs and
Wriddhiman Saha was another victim of the 30-year-old.
It has been a dream season for Harshal and the pacer has
already bagged a hat-trick and a five-wicket-haul to his name. No other bowler
has managed to get a hat trick this season while only two others have recorded
five wicket hauls (Arshdeep Singh and Andre Russell).
Patel has brought stability to the bowling attack of Royal
Challengers Bangalore which had been due for a long time. The duo of Yuzvendra
Chahal and Harshal has worked wonders for the franchise who’s bowling always
suffered in the death overs.
Despite his age, Patel can be a weapon for the Indian
cricket team as he remains an unknown commodity.
