Actor Shahid Kapoor’s next is sports drama movie titled ‘Jersey’, which is all set to release this year. It is a remake of a Telugu language sports film of the same name starring Nani.

It is now said that Jersey’s theatrical trailer will be out on November 23 in the presence of Shahid, who will fly down from Dubai for the event.

“The trailer will be launched on Tuesday, November 23. Shahid Kapoor, who is presently in UAE for the shoot of Ali Abbas Zafar’s next, will fly down especially for the trailer release. The other actors of the film like Mrunal Thakur, Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur and Sharad Kelkar, are also expected to be present at the trailer launch event,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.

The original ‘Jersey’ was made in the budget of Rs. 25 crores and collected around Rs. 50 crores after its huge success at box office.

The storyline of the film is about a man in his mid30’s struggling to get an opportunity to play for the Indian Cricket Team. produced by Allu Aravind, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Aman Gill and Dill Raju.

Earlier Telugu actress Rashmika Mandanna was casted for the movie later she was replaced by Mrunal Thakur reason unknown.

The film’s shooting started in November 2019 in Chandigarh.

The film was earlier scheduled to release on 28 August 2020 but delayed owing to corona pandemic. However, after the news of theatres reopening from October22 in Maharashtra state, the makers officially announced that the movie will release on 31 December 2021.
