Maruti Suzuki

The country’s largest automaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Thursday said the company’s board has appointed Hisashi Takeuchi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a period of three years with effect from April 1, 2022.

State bank of India (SBI)

The bank has entered into co-lending tie-ups with PNB Housing Finance, IIFL Home Finance, Shriram Housing Finance, Edelweiss Housing Finance and Capri Global Housing Finance.

Kalpataru Power Transmission 

SBI Funds Management acquired 14.5 lakh equity shares in the EPC company via open market transactions on March 23. With this, its shareholding in the company stands at 7.25%, up from 6.27% earlier.

JK Tyre & Industries 

The company has come up with the country’s first puncture guard technology in tyres for four-wheelers. The technology, with specially engineered self-healing elastomer inner coat, applied inside the tyres through an automated process, heals the punctures. With this technology, tyres can self-repair multiple punctures, due to nails or other sharp objects, up to 6 mm in the tread area instantly. The technology has been tested across all Indian on-road as well as off-road conditions.

Shaily Engineering Plastics 

Lighthouse India III Equity Investors Ltd & PACs bought a 2.48% stake in the company via open market transactions on March 24. With this, their shareholding in the company stands at 9.1%, up from 6.62% earlier.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) 

The company has received approval from the board of directors for long term borrowings up to Rs 10,000 crore, including refinancing, through external commercial borrowings, term loans, non-convertible debentures or any other instrument as may be appropriate.

Kohinoor Foods 

The board has approved the sale of the factory unit of the company at Sonepath (Haryana), by way of slump sale, and appointment of Chashu Arora, Chartered Accountant, as CFO of the company.

Adani Wilmar 

The company is betting big on staples and scouting for the acquisition of regional rice brands and processing units in several states of the country.

Exide Industries 

Subsidiary Chloride Metals has started commercial production at its newly set-up greenfield manufacturing facility of battery recycling at Haldia, West Bengal. The said recycling plant is equipped with the modern state-of-the-art technology with the help of global engineering firm, Engitec Technologies S.P.A. Italy. The total installed capacity of the plant is 108,000 MT per annum.

Bank of Maharashtra 

The bank has raised Rs 290 crore through BASEL III Compliant Additional Tier I Bonds. The bank has received total bids of Rs 1055 crore, out of which the bank has accepted Rs 290 crore at a coupon rate of 8.75%.

Zen Technologies 

The company has received a project sanction order (PSO) from the Indian Army, for the design and development of a prototype of the Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator (IADCS). The prototype is to be made ready for User Trial Readiness Review (UTRR) within a period of 30 weeks.

Kotak Mahindra Bank

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board has sold four crore shares in Kotak Mahindra Bank through a bulk deal on Thursday. According to BSE data, the shares were sold at a price of Rs 1,700.10 apiece, taking the value of the transaction to Rs 6,800 crore.

Anjani Foods 

The company has executed a joint venture agreement with joint venture company Senta Foodwork wherein Anjani Foods holds a 51% stake and the rest of the shareholding is held by Quennelle 36 Foodworks. They formed a joint venture to engage in the business of bakery products.

RIL | Rajesh Exports

The Central government on Thursday awarded 50 Giga Watt Hour (GWh) of battery capacity to Reliance New Energy Solar, Ola Electric Mobility, Hyundai Global Motors and Rajesh Exports under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for advanced chemistry cell (ACC) battery storage.
