The International Council of Cricket released its latest Women’s Player Rankings for ODIs after the 2022 World Cup. Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur were amongst the Indians who gained while skipper Mithali Raj slipped one spot.
Indian opener Smriti Mandhana moved up to the ninth poition in the ODI rankings for batters. The 25-year-old has 669 points. She scored 327 runs from seven games with a best of 123, averaging 46.71 in the recently concluded World Cup.

Vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who was India’s second-highest run-scorer in the World Cup with 318 runs from seven games, climed one place to the 14th spot.
India captain Mithali Raj dropped to seventh place after her ordinary show at the ICC event. The 39-year-old scored 182 runs from seven games at an average of 26. She has 686 rating points.
One of the biggest gainers on the ICC charts was Australian opener Alyssa Healy. The highest run-scorer in the World Cup jumped four spots.

Healy finished the tournament with 509 runs. She scored two hundreds and two half-centuries in nine matches at a strike rate of 103.66. England’s Natalie Sciver is placed second on the chart after her unbeaten 148 in the final against the Aussies.
The batter’s rankings feature four Australians in the top six. Beth Mooney, Meg Lanning and Haynes are the other ones.
Sciver also dominates the all-rounders charts. She beat Australia’s Ellyse Perry to take the top spot.

Meanwhile, England’s star spinner Sophie Ecclestone maintained her top rank amongst bowlers. South African pacer Shabnim Ismail, Australian duo Jess Jonassen and Megan Schutt follow her.
Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami remained at the fifth position. The 39-year-old also held on to her 10th spot in the all-rounders’ rankings. Deepti Sharma is placed seventh amongst the all-rounders.
