Kevin Durant has opted to stay with the Brooklyn Nets team, 85 days after formally requesting a trade from the team. In an announcement by the Nets, the team told that the ownership of Joe Tsai along with GM Sean Marks and Head Coach Steve Nash met with Durant and his business partner, Rich Kleiman and together will continue to remain a part of the franchise and will collectively focus to deliver a championship to the Brooklyn Nets organization.
Kevin Wayne Durant is an American professional basketball player who has played for the Brooklyn Nets, Texas Longhorns, Seattle SuperSonics, and the Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He was born on September 29, 1988, in Washington D.C to Wanda and Wayne Pratt.
At the age of 13, he began traveling across the United States for basketball tournaments with his father. As a child, Durant was exceptionally tall for his age. In middle school, he was a 6 ft tall boy who dreamt of playing for the Toronto Raptors with Vince Carter.
Durant began playing in local areas of Maryland with Ty Lawson, Michael Beasley, and Greivis Vásquez as his teammates.

After attending The University of Texas at Austin, Durant was selected as the second pick by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2007 NBA draft. He played for the team for nine seasons, before signing with the Golden State Warriors in 2016.
In 2019, he joined the Nets as a free agent, after suffering from Achilles tendinitis. Today, he is considered one of the greatest NBA players of all time.
His achievements include two NBA championships, two Finals MVP Awards, two NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Awards, one NBA Most Valuable Player Award, four NBA scoring titles, and has been selected 12 times as an NBA All-Star.

The 33-year-old was recently spotted with actor Karrueche Tran. Durant, who is now single, was engaged to WNBA point guard Monica Wright in 2014. According to GQ, the duo called it quits after Durant realized that he “didn’t love her the right way”.
