Johnny Depp has donated his NFT earnings to a charity associated with former wife Amber Heard. As per news outlet Radar, the 59-year-old actor’s Never Fear Truth NFT had raised nearly $800,000 in total donations. The list of organizations that received the donation also includes the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, which is associated with Amber Heard.

Never Fever Truth NFT also tweeted saying, “Johnny Depp’s Never Fear Truth NFT sale was always intended to benefit charities and we are pleased to be able to confirm that nearly $800,000 in total donations have been contributed to the following organizations: Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation via (CAF America), Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (via CAF America), The Footprint Coalition, The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA).”

Amber and Johnny had separated in 2016 after filing for a divorce. In 2017, Amber pledged to donate $7 million from her divorce settlement to the Children’s Hospital. But in the recent defamation case, it was revealed Amber Heard had failed to donate the amount. Many fans of Johnny Depp praised him for his generous donation while some scorned Amber Heard for not fulfilling her promise.

A fan on Twitter reacting to the donation news said, “And this, ladies and gentlemen, is philanthropy. And the difference between an unfulfilled pledge, and a straight donation.” Another one said, “Every time I think I couldn’t be prouder of that man, he proves me wrong. AMAZING.”

Depp had recently sued Heard for portraying him as a domestic violence perpetrator. The Virginia civil jury ruled in favor of Depp on all three of his counts. The jury found that Heard had not only made false and defamatory statements but that she’d done so with malice.
