Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk believes that intermittent fasting can be key to a healthy life. The billionaire tycoon has posted on Twitter that he has been periodically fasting on the advice of a “good friend”, and that he is feeling much better as a result of it.

Besides suggesting that intermittent fasting has been doing good, Musk has also endorsed a fasting app called Zero. The application is available on both Play Store (for Android users) and App Store (iOS). The app offers users personalized fasting goals based on their physiological needs.

What is intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting is the process of fasting for an extended period of time between two meals. Studies have shown that this practice improves metabolism. Notably, fasting as a practice exists in many religions, including Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity.
During fasting, the blood insulin level drops, and this helps in burning fat. The practice also helps in boosting the human growth hormone level, restricts calorie intake, and aids in cellular repair.
Musk’s Twitter history
The billionaire entrepreneur is quite active on the social media platform he had earlier wanted to buy. He keeps connecting with his followers on the platform and even replies to some of their comments. Very recently, the 51-year-old conducted a poll between hallucinations induced by two different drugs, namely, Benadryl Spiders and DMT Machine Elves. However, he soon deleted the post.
Later, a Twitter user posted pictures of the effects of different drugs on a spider, to which Musk replied:

Musk has always been open about expressing his views publicly. He has said on numerous occasions that it would be quite easy to power the whole world using solar panels. He has also warned the world against AI, saying that the technology has the potential to be far more harmful than any nuclear weapon.
