Falguni Pathak, the famous Indian folk singer, will return to Navratri Utsav after a year’s break to perform for 10 days from September 26th to October 5th at the Late Shri Pramod Mahajan Sports Complex, Mumbai. The tickets for all the remaining days are available on bookmyshow.com through which interested fans could avail the opportunity to see their favorite star performing live. Having been the centre of attraction at the Utsav over the years, Falguni’s performance will be eagerly anticipated by fans and well-wishers alike.

Falguni is a famous folk singer from western India. Widely known as the queen of dandiya, she has a strong fan base throughout the country but specifically in the western regions such as Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. While her Bollywood debut occurred in the year 1990, her first album, Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi was released in 1998. She has followed this up with 9 other albums, the most recent of those being Jode Rejo Raaj (Gujarathi). Some of her all time hit songs include Mainey Payal Ki Chhankai, Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye, Sawaan mein, Ayi Pardesh Se Pariyon Ki Rani. The 53-year-old veteran singer is a recipient of the international viewer’s choice award for MTV India in 2000 and also the Dadasaheb Phalke excellence award in 2017.

Backed by a team called Tha Thaiyaa, Pathak has performed both in India and abroad, receiving critical acclaim along the way. If Bollywood songs and hit albums have ensured her a star status, it is the annual Navratri festivals in Mumbai that turned her into a sensation. As per her own admission, she has performed every year at the Navratri festivals from 1987-2020. In 2021, due to restrictions, she is said to have missed the programme when she instead performed in the US for pre-Navratri garba.
