Who is Adam Zampa?
Adam Zampa is an international cricketer who represents Australia in limited overs formats of ODI and T20. Zampa was born on 31 March 1992 in Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia to the couple Darren Zampa and Allison Zampa. Like a lot of Australian kids, Zampa was inspired by arguably the greatest spinner of all time, the late Shane Warne and tried to emulate his bowling action. He has been married to Hattie Leigh Palmer since 2021.
Zampa was a part of Australia’s squad for the 2009 U-19 World Cup. After initial stints with New South Wales and South Australia, Zampa eventually made it into the national squad having performed well for South Australia and Melbourne stars. He debuted for Australia on 6 February 2016 in the Chappell Hadlee trophy against New Zealand.

He was brilliance personified in the 2016 IPL encounter with SRH, bagging 6 for 19. This was ranked the third best performance by a bowler in IPL history, behind 6/12 by Alzarri Joseph and 6 for 14 by Sohail Tanvir. It also became the best performance by a bowler from the losing side in the history of IPL. Zampa represented Australia in the 2019 Cricket World Cup and 2021 ICC Men’s cricket World Cup. In March 2022, during the opening match in the series against Pakistan, he scalped his 100 wicket in ODI cricket. Despite his strong performances in ODI and T20 cricket, Zampa has surprisingly not been picked to play Test cricket for Australia yet.
