A stabbing occurred in a supermarket close to Milan, northern Italy, leaving one person dead and at least four others injured, some even injured critically.
They claim that a 30-year-old Carrefour grocery cashier died after a man began attacking people in Assago.

Pablo Mari, a football player on loan from Arsenal to Monza, was one of the ones injured.
A suspect, 46, has been taken into custody. Any terrorist intent has been ruled out by the police.
The reports claim that the attacker had mental health issues.
At around 18:30 local time (16:30 GMT), they said he began randomly stabbing victims at a Carrefour in a nearby shopping centre.

Inside the centre, people were allegedly screaming as they scrambled away in fear.
Several customers detained the attacker and turned him over to the police when they arrived on the scene.
According to local media reports, Mari, a 29-year-old Spanish defender, was stabbed in the back, although his wounds are not life-threatening. He is presently recovering in the hospital.

In January 2020, he transferred from Brazil’s Flamengo to Arsenal. He has only made 19 appearances for the Gunners, and he is presently out on loan to Serie A team Monza.
“Dear Pablo, we are all here close to you and your family, we love you, keep fighting as you know how to do, you are a warrior and you will get well soon,” Adriano Galliani, the CEO of Monza, tweeted.
“I just found out. I know Edu [Arsenal technical director] has been in touch with his relatives. He’s in hospital but he seems to be okay,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said.
