Pablo Mari, an Arsenal defender was stabbed while out shopping with his family. The 29-year-old was one of six people stabbed at a Carrefour supermarket in Assago, a township within the Metropolitan City of Milan

He was transported to a hospital while conscious and was not in a serious condition, according to a report from Sky Italy. Mari is an Arsenal player who had been loaned to Serie A team Monza. He debuted for the team in August in its 2-1 defeat to Torino

Born in Almussafes in the independent region of the Valencian Community in Spain, he was part of Real Mallorca’s youth training system. He began playing professionally at the age of 17.

His first ever match was in a 2-2 tie against Granada. Mari replaced another graduate of Real Mallorca’s system and managed to get a play time of 30 minutes. From 2011 to 2013, he played with Real Mallorca before he shifted to Gimnàstic de Tarragona.

He has been married to his wife, Veronica Chacon for a while now and the two had a child together named Pablo Jr, who was born in 2018. Currently, Mari is estimated to be worth at least £8.9 million. Given that he plays for arsenal, he makes roughly £49,000 a week, which equates to £2.54 million a year.

Mari scored his first ever goal in 2013 in a 2-1 victory against Levante UD B. Three years later, his career saw a massive upgrade as he moved to the Premier League, having been signed by Manchester City. He was loaned to Spain-based Girona FC for the entire season the day after he was transferred. In 2017 and 2018, he played for NAC Brada, a Dutch football team and Deportivo de La Coruña, a tier 2 Spanish team.

Just before the onset of the pandemic, Mari moved to Arsenal and managed to play two games for the Islington side before everything shut down. His first goal for Arsenal was against Rapid Wein in the UEFA Europa League.
