A Mexican wave broke out at Fold Field during the week 14 game between Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions at Ford Field Stadium on Sunday.

As Lions looked to delay the in-form Vikings from being crowned as NFC North Champions, their efforts were thwarted by the Vikings after gaining a 23-31 lead in quarter 4. With Justin Jefferson leading the attack for the Vikings, they were easily the better team on paper and proved their mettle on the pitch as well.

However, the Lions made a last-quarter comeback to eventually beat the Vikings 34 to 23 in what became one of week 14’s biggest upsets o far.

Led by coach Dan Campbell, the game against the Vikings was perhaps the biggest for the Lions this season. The Lions were not in a position to drop a single point in the next five games starting with the Vikings if they had to avoid the NFC Wild Card race. They lived up to their requirements after the fabulous comeback win.

The Vikings, on the other hand, wee looking to clinch the NFC North division with the win against the Lions today. Although they were missing left-tackle Christian Darrisaw, center Garret Bradberry and Pro Bowl safety Harrison Smith with injuries, they still managed to run past the Lions quite comfortably in the first three quarters.

And the Lions, in spite of being relatively injury-free with the debut of first-round draft pick Jameson Williams, failed to live up to the Vikings attack in the first three quarters. Their comeback in the need, however, is one for the ages and Lions fans who were at the game on Sunday will never be able to forget it.
