- The post also takes a shot at Kid Cudi
Social media was taken by storm when it was announced that comedian Pete Davidson and reality TV personality Kim Kardashian were breaking up after being together for nine months. Now Kanye West (who has rechristened himself as Ye), Kardashian’s former husband, has also mocked the former Saturday Night Live comedian on Instagram, sharing a morphed New York Times front page that states “SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT AGE 28”.

In the post, West has not only taken a jibe at Davidson, but also at Kid Cudi, with whom West is involved in an ongoing feud. Right at the bottom of the page, it says “Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers”. This dig comes in the wake of Cudi walking off stage when members of the audience threw bottles at him during his set at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami.

This is not the first time West has taken shots at Davidson. Earlier in February, West had also posted (now deleted) a morphed poster of the MCU movie Captain America: Civil War, where he had replaced the actors’ faces on the poster with those of himself, Davidson, and a number of other musical artists. Kanye’s constant shots at Davidson led many to assume that the hip-hop legend’s account might have been hacked. A social media user has shared the picture:

West has been attacking Davidson since the latter started dating Kardashian, even mentioning him in a couple of songs. “And if I let ’em have my wife, n**s should thank me. With this Balenciaga and Balenci’ boots and new blue Yankee”, is a line from his song City of Gods. In another song entitled Easy, Kanye voiced his wrath against Davidson once again, saying, “God saved me from that crash. Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**”.
