company Yash Raj Films (YRF) has announced the return of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le
Jayenge (DDLJ)
in theaters across India on Wednesday, November 2. The day marks
the 57th birthday of Shah Rukh Khan who starred as the lead Raj
Malhotra in the romantic cult.

November 2 holds a special meaning for
SRK fans who prepare themselves to binge-watch the superstar’s movies the
entire day. YRF decided to celebrate the day by paying a tribute to the star
and his 1995 iconic romance drama DDLJ.

Announcing the rerun, YRF wrote on their
Instagram,

“Our favourite love story is coming back to the silver screen ❤ Watch Dilwale
Dulhania Le Jayenge on 2nd November, 2022 only in Indian Theatres @pvrcinemas_official  @inoxmovies  @cinepolisindia  @iamsrk  @kajol  #AdityaChopra”

The Aditya Chopra directorial will be screened in INOX,
PVR, and Cinepolis theatres across India as announced by the production house.

@INOXMovies | @IndiaCinepolis”, tweeted YRF.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge was released in 1995 and went on
to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. It
established Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol as one of the ultimate romantic heartthrobs, putting
them on the map of iconic on-screen couples alongside the likes of Amitabh-Rekha, Anil-Sridevi,  and Salman-Madhuri.

Set around the themes of marriage and family, the film
explored the relationship of Raj and Simran, both NRIs living in London. The
story captured the balance between traditional Indian values and modern liberal
thinking.

Influencing an entire generation of film buffs, the movie has won
several accolades and has left behind a legacy of its costumes, soundtrack,
scenes, and characters. The film has been screening as a matinee show at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir since
its release, for over 27 years now, becoming a popular attraction for tourists.
