Suyash Prabhudessai announced himself on his IPL debut by affecting a quick pick-up and throw run out against the Chennai Super Kings at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai on Tuesday. The Royal Challengers Bangalore youngster helped the team get rid of Moeen Ali, reducing Ravindra Jadeja and co to 36/2.
Prabhudessai was described as an ‘exciting youngster’ by skipper Faf du Plessis at the toss. The 24-year-old from Goa took only seven overs to prove his leader’s point. On the fourth ball of the seventh over his athleticism helped RCB get rid of Moeen Ali.

The Englishman rocked back and cut Glenn Maxwell towards backward point. Prabhusessai, who was stationed right there, stopped the ball with a dive to his right. Ali was off for a single. But the RCB youngster’s rocket throw at the wicketkeeper’s end gave Moeen Ali no time. Dinesh Karthik, behind the stumps, completed the formalities.
Moeen Ali, who bats at No 3 for CSK, was dismissed for three runs off eight balls.

Meanwhile, Robin Uthappa and Chennai Super Kings recovered quickly after a slow powerplay. The four-time champions were 35/1 by the end of six overs.

However, Uthappa and Shivam Dube picked up speed after Moeel Ali was dismissed to take CSK to 133/2 after 15 overs. The former reached his fifty in 33 balls while the latter did it in 30.
