Robert Aramayo, the 29-year-old English actor, told PTI that his lifelong dream of playing a JRR Tolkien character finally came true when he was cast in the Amazon Prime series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in the role of Elrond.

“I feel very honoured to be playing him, just to be here and talking about him. To get the opportunity to play him was a childhood dream. So I just feel very lucky to be playing him,” Aramayo told PTI.
Armanayo had already made a mark in the world of fantasy fiction with his excellent performance as Eddard Stark in the sixth season of Game of Thrones.
“Middle Earth gives you the opportunity to explore so many different characters, so many different creatures who all behave and breathe in different ways, and communicate in different ways. It’s an exciting part of the show,” he further said about his role in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Before his stint in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the English actor’s performance in Behind Her Eyes received a lot of critical acclaim.
Along with Armanayo, the series also stars Morfyd Clark, Markella Kavenagh, and Sofia Nomvete. It premiered on Amazon Prime on September 1, 2022.
