Oil marketing companies have lowered the price of the 19 kg LPG cylinder meant for commercial use by Rs 102.50 from January 1, 2022. The cylinder will cost Rs 1,998.50  in Delhi after the price cut.

This reduction will provide relief to restaurants and eateries, which constitute the largest user segment of the 19 kg cylinder. In December, the price of the cylinder was increased by Rs 100 to Rs 2,101, the second-highest level since 2012-13. Earlier in November, the price of the commercial cylinder was increased by Rs 266 to Rs 2,000.50.

There is, however, no reduction in prices of cylinders weighing 14.2 kg, 10 kg and 5 kg that are meant for household cooking. Prices of  LPG cylinders are revised every month for all states and Union Territories.
