Gold prices decreased to a three-week low and were moving for their first weekly decline in five on Friday, as a stronger US dollar and possibilities of more rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve dented bullion’s appeal.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) increased marginally on Friday, August 19, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,507.00 per 10 gm, down 96 points or 0.19%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 55,765.00 per kg, down 678 points or 1.20%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,757.08 per oz while Silver is priced at $19.30. Platinum was trading at $911.45 while palladium was trading at $2,153.05.

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,830 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 57,100 per kg on Thursday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 668.30 down 0.37% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 723.10 and Rs 210.20 per Kg respectively on MCX.

According to the Good Returns website, ten grams of 22-carat gold is being sold for Rs 47,900 in Mumbai and Kolkata. In Chennai, the same amount of yellow metal can be purchased for Rs 48,500. Today, it costs Rs 48,050 in New Delhi.

The 24-carat gold rate is Rs 52,250 for ten grams of metal in Kolkata and Mumbai. In Chennai, the same amount of gold is being traded for Rs 52,910. It can be purchased for Rs 52,400 in New Delhi.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,930 and Rs 48,050 in Pune and Jaipur, respectively. In Pune, the same amount of valuable metal is worth Rs 52,280, while in Jaipur, it is worth Rs 52,400.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 47,900 in Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar and Kerala. The same amount can be purchased for Rs 47,950 in Ahmedabad, Mangalore, and Surat. In Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada and Kerala, ten grams of 24-carat gold costs Rs 52,250. The same amount of 24-carat gold can be purchased for Rs 52,310 in Mangalore, Ahmedabad, and Surat.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 48,930 and Rs 48,380 in Patna and Madurai, respectively. The same amount of 24-carat purity costs Rs 52,280 in Patna. It is worth Rs 52,910 in Madurai.

Ten grams of 22-carat gold is bought and sold for Rs 48,050 in Chandigarh and Lucknow. In both cities, the same quantity of 24-carat purity is sold for Rs 52,400.
