Gold prices fell slightly on Thursday, in tune with global market sentiment, but remained on track for the greatest quarterly rise since September 2020. The escalation of the war between Russia and Ukraine boosted demand for safe-haven metals in the current quarter.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,667.00 per 10 gm, down 109 points or 0.21%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 67,139.00 per kg, down 267 points or 0.4%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,926.31 per oz. Platinum was trading at $983.50 while palladium was trading at $2,260.87. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,210 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 67,041 per kg on Wednesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 815.80 down 0.72% while Natural gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 419.90 and Rs 286.00 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

The 24-carat of 10 grams of gold is priced at Rs 51,970 in Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi. In Chennai, the same quantity of 24-carat purity is being sold at Rs 52,270, today.

In Coimbatore and Madurai, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being sold at Rs 47,910. The same quantity of 24-carat purity stands at Rs 52,270, today in both the southern cities.

In Hyderabad, Kerala and Bengaluru, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being traded at Rs 47,640, today. Likewise, in Bhubaneshwar, Mangalore and Vishakhapatnam, the same quantity of 22-carat purity is being sold at Rs 47,640. Ten grams of 24-carat gold is being purchased at Rs 51,970 in all the above regions.

In Patna and Surat, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being bought and sold at Rs 47,690 and Rs 47,670, respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is currently valued at Rs 52,020 in Patna and Rs 52,050 in Surat.

In Chandigarh and Nashik, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being purchased at Rs 47,790 and Rs 47,690 today. Additionally, the same quantity of 24-carat purity is being sold at Rs 52,120 in Chandigarh and Rs 52,020 in Nashik.
