On Thursday, despite the weak sentiments in the international markets, domestic indices continued to gain, supported by IT, financials, and metal stocks amid strong domestic macroeconomic data. Adani Ports, HDFC, Power Grid Corp, Tata Steel, and Sun Pharma were among the major Nifty gainers, whereas the losers included ICICI Bank, Cipla, and Axis Bank.

Sensex touched high and low of 58,513.93 and 57,680.41, respectively, and rose 776.50 points or 1.35% to 58,461.29 in the previous session. There were 28 stocks advancing against 2 stocks declining on the index while Nifty traded in a range of 17,420.35 and 17,149.30 and was up by 234.75 points or 1.37% to 17,401.65. There were 47 stocks advancing against 3 stocks declining on the index.

The stocks of Apex Frozen Foods, IFCI, Panacea Biotech, IRB Infrastructure Developers, and Somany Home Innovation were locked in the upper circuit on Thursday.

MBL Infrastructures, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, HBL Power Systems, Texmo Pipes and Products, and PG Electroplast made a fresh 52-week high on Thursday.

The shares of CG Power gained by 5% and managed to close at Rs 157.80 per share in the Thursday trading session. The shares of CG power have gained by 253% already in 2021 alone.

Hero MotoCorp touched a 52-week low of Rs 2,409 on December 2, post weak sales numbers recorded for November 2021.

The shares of Tata Tele are seen trading higher after back-to-back buyers lock in the counter. There is a positive momentum in the telecom sector with shares of Vodafone and Bharti Airtel witnessing positive price momentum. There is a buzz in the market that the promoters of Tata Tele – Tata Sons is committed to reviving TTML. In the Thursday trading session, the shares of TTML were up by 5%, locked in the upper circuit.

The shares of Lyka Lab managed to close higher by 5% at Rs 180.80 per share in the Thursday trading session. Lyka Lab’s share price has jumped higher by 455% in 2021 alone.

The shares of Olectra Greentech were locked in the upper circuit in the Thursday trading session after gaining by 5%. The shares of Olectra Greentech gained by 525% in 2021 alone while in one month the stock is up by 35%.
