Coinbase (COIN)
Coinbase rallied 4.2% in the premarket as the
cryptocurrency exchange operator is reportedly in talks to buy 2TM, the parent
of Brazilian cryptocurrency brokerage Mercado Bitcoin, according to a local
newspaper. The paper said a deal could be closed by the end of April.
Tesla (TSLA)
Tesla shares jumped 5.4% in premarket trading. Tesla will
ask shareholders to authorize the issuance of additional shares at the upcoming
annual meeting so it can pay a stock dividend, the company tweeted. The
additional shares would allow the company to split its stock.

Apple (AAPL)
Apple declined 1.2% in premarket trading as it reportedly
plans to cut iPhone SE production by 20% next quarter, according to a report by
Japan’s Nikkei news service citing weaker-than-expected demand.
Beyond Meat (BYND)
Beyond Meat slipped 5.1% in the premarket after Piper
Sandler downgraded the stock to “underweight” from “neutral.” Piper highlighted
rising competition for plant-based meat substitutes and lower positive
expectations for the impact of a nationwide McDonald’s (MCD) launch.

Foot Locker (FL)
The athletic footwear and apparel retailer’s stock
dropped 1.7% in premarket action after Cowen downgraded it to “market perform”
from “outperform”. According to Cowen, despite an inexpensive valuation,
investors may be under-appreciating the potential impact of inflation.

AMC Entertainment (AMC)
AMC added 2.2% in the premarket after CEO Adam Aron told
Reuters the company would strike more “transformational” deals, following its
$27.9 million investment in gold and silver mine operator Hycroft Mining (HYMC)
earlier this month.
Barclays (BCS)
Barclays fell 3.1% in premarket trading after the British
bank reported a loss of around $592 million coming from mishandled bond trades.
It will also delay a planned share buyback as a result.
