At least three people were killed after a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck Guatemala on Wednesday. The quake caused minor damage and some landslides that blocked highways.

The US Geological Survey said the earthquake struck near the country’s Pacific coast just after 1 is local time on Wednesday and was centered near Nueva Concepción. The quake occurred at a depth of about 51 miles (84 kilometers).

The tremors were also felt in southern Mexico and El Salvador.
