United States Supreme Court’s leaked opinion draft of Roe v. Wade said that the precedented may be overturned. This triggered protests pan-America. More than a thousand people gathered outside the Supreme Court hours after the leak was published.

One protest also briefly turned into a skirmish with police. One law enforcement official was also injured at the demonstration in Los Angeles.

Authorities say about 250 people had been marching peacefully for abortion rights before the clash. LAPD Chief Michel Moore says some demonstrators threw rocks and bottles at officers. One officer was struck with a baton.

Several demonstrations were seen across the country, including in prominent cities like New York City, Denver, Chicago, Seattle and Washington DC. The Supreme Court was the epicenter of these protests.
