Riders, in their last match, lost by 7 runs. Facing Rajasthan Royals, KKR fell
short of chasing 217 runs despite Shreyas Iyer’s blistering knock of 85 runs of
51 balls. For the Royals, it was Yuzvendra Chahal’s day. He took a hattrick of
the last over to ensure victory for his team.

KKR’s bowling has
been its Achille’s heel in this season of the IPL. Umesh Yadav has been the
pick of the bowlers with 10 wickets, but he has been the only one managing to
hit the bails. No other KKR bowler has managed to take more than six so far.

The Gujarat
Titans, on the other hand, have had a dream run. Debuting on the IPL stage, the
team has one five out of its first six matches. The team’s weaknesses were the
talk of the town since the team was announced. However, the Titans’ middle and
lower order have outperformed expectations, with the exception of Shubman Gill.
