Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been
an exciting platform for uncapped emerging pacers. The IPL 2022 is no
different. The ongoing season of the T20 league brought several youngsters into
the limelight. But this season observed the rise of some of the young quality
fast bowlers who could represent India in near future.

Here are the five pacers who impressed one
and all in IPL 2022:

Umran
Malik

SunRisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik is
the toast of IPL 2022 because of his ability to generate sheer pace. The
franchise retained him for Rs 4 crore before the mega auction even though he
was an inexperienced fast bowler. For the faith SRH showed in him, the
22-year-old fast bowler put up brilliant performances.

In 10 matches, the Jammu fast bowler picked
up 15 wickets at an average of 22.60. He is also the fastest bowler of this IPL
after he clocked 157.58kph delivery against Delhi Capitals. He also clocked 154
kph against the Chennai Super Kings to register the second-fastest ball of IPL
2022.

The right-arm pacer is a key component in
SRH’s campaign this season.

Mohsin
Khan

A left-arm fast bowler with high-arm
action, Mohsin Khan has developed the ability to generate springy bounce. After warming
the bench at Mumbai Indians in the previous season, Mohsin Khan was picked by
Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022. The 23-year-old bowler bowled like a senior
professional. In five matches, so far, he took nine wickets at an average of
10.11. He is one of the most economical pacers this season.

Training with Mohammed Shami during the
pandemic helped Mohsin to a great extent. He can swing the ball both ways and bowl yorkers with ease.

Mukesh
Choudhary

The 25-year-old fast bowler has been
impressive. In Chennai Super Kings’ disastrous IPL campaign, Choudhary is one
of the few positives. The pacer impressed cricket pundits with his ability to swing
the ball both ways. He has certainly made a name for himself with his brilliant
bowling performances.

The left-arm pacer was signed by CSK for
just Rs 20 lakh at the mega auction. Came as Deepak Chahar’s replacement, the
youngster repaid the faith shown in him.

Mukesh has picked up 11 wickets in nine
matches at an average of 28.18. His best of 4 for 46 came against the Sunrisers
Hyderabad, powering his team to a 13-runs victory.

Kuldeep
Sen

Kuldeep Sen came into the limelight when he
defended 15 runs in the last over against Lucknow Super Giants. The 25-year-old
pacer bowled four dot balls of his remaining five balls with Marcus Stoinis at
the crease. Since making his arrival in IPL, the Rajasthan Royals bowler has
taken eight wickets in six matches at an average of 25.62. In the game against
RCB, he took four wickets for 20 runs.

Yash
Dayal

Another left-arm pacer in this chart is
Yash Dayal. He has made heads turn with his accuracy and pace this season. He
is a great asset for the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans in the pace-heavy
bowling attack.

Bowling alongside star pacers Mohammed
Shami and Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal has made a mark in his debut match. He
took three wickets giving away forty runs, to help his side win the match by 37
runs.

In the four matches that he has played so
far, the youngster has picked seven wickets at an average of 20.85. Though he
has been a little expensive, Dayal’s pace and accuracy caught the eyes of cricket pundits.
