This marks Khloe Kardashian’s Met Gala red carpet debut and is also the first time all Kardashian-Jenner women are attending the event.

Apart from Khloe, this is Kourtney’s Met debut too, appearing alongside partner Travis Barker. However, Kourtney was reportedly invited to the gala earlier but didn’t want to attend because Khloe wasn’t given an invitation and she didn’t want to leave her alone.

Khloe has slammed this claim, but Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, is not exactly a Kardashian fan. Kim Kardashian had also tweeted in 2019 that the first time she was invited to the Met Gala was in 2013 as Kanye West’s plus one.

Kim posted photos of herself, then pregnant with her and the rapper’s first child, North. She said, “I didn’t know anyone & I’m sure no one wanted me there lol”. Since then, Kim has attended the gala every year and has made quite the mark.

The Met Gala has included some eye-grabbing moments this year, from Blake Lively’s altering dress to Sarah Jessica Parker’s tip of the hat to White House’s first black female fashion designer

This year’s theme is ‘Gilded Glamour‘ or ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’, which focuses on the period of excess associated with the Gilded Age of America.

While the other Kardashians have arrived, Kim has not shown up yet. She is expected to arrive with new romantic interest Pete Davidson after the two made their red carpet debut at the White House Correspondents dinner, on April 30.

The Met Gala, which is a high-profile event now began as a humble charity trying to raise money for an exhibition.
