Born on May 30, 1979, the 43-year-old had a successful career in the NASCAR circuit and won many races in the Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series. In 2008, he also won the Xfinity Series championship.

Bowyer got his NASCAR start in the early 2000s after being discovered by Richard Childress Racing. Between 2005 and 2020, when Bowyer was a NASCAR driver, he’d taken the checkered flag ten times.

He’s been married to Lorra, since 2014. As per Bowyer’s wife’s Instagram page, she’s a jewellery designer. The couple has two children, a son named Cash and a daughter called Presley.

After the accident, the cops found that Bowyer was not impaired in any way and no alcohol was detected in his bloodstream. Authorities, however, believe that the victim, 47-year-old Mary Jane Simmons, was under the influence of drugs.
