Actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who became parents to a baby girl on November 6 have revealed their daughter’s name on social media. Bhatt posted a picture of the two on her Instagram with a caption that revealed who named the baby.

A mini Barcelona jersey with the name “Raha” printed on the back is visible in the announcement post. The name ‘Raha’ was written on a framed Barcelona shirt hung on a wall, with the power couple and their newly-born daughter in the foreground. Barcelona football team also congratulated the couple today and shared a tweet on Twitter. 

Taking to their official Twitter handle, the club wrote, “Congratulations, @aliaa08 & Ranbir Kapoor!! A new Barça fan is born. We can’t wait to meet you all in Barcelona.”

Ranbir Kapoor is well known for being a fan of Barcelona and is a co-owner of Mumbai City FC in the Indian Super League. Alia Bhatt just shared their daughter’s name on Instagram in the recognizable Blaugrana hues.

“The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings,” she wrote referring to Neetu Kapoor.

“Raha, in its purest form means divine path, in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL!”

Alia will be seen along with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra, in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa. She will also make her Hollywood debut in the movie Heart Of Stone along with actors Jamie Dornan and Gal Gadot.

Ranbir will next be seen in Animal by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in prominent roles. He will also be seen playing the lead role in Luv Ranjan’s upcoming movie that is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
