“While Shailene is supportive of Aaron’s career, he put football first and they were barely spending any time together. She felt he neglected their relationship. Neither of them was happy,” an insider told the outlet.

The 38-year-old Green Bay Packers quarterback is “an independent guy” and “got cold feet” about his impending nuptials to the actor, another source told the outlet.
“There were too many obstacles. They’re both adults and decided to part amicably,” a third source added.
Rodgers surprised everyone in February 2021 by announcing his engagement with the 30-year-old actor. He made the announcement while accepting his Associated Press Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for 2020.
“2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped, playing for very little fans,” the 38-year-old said before casually announcing that he is engaged.
“I got engaged and I played some of the best football of my career,” he said before thanking his “fiancée”. He, however, did not mention her name.

She also revealed that the couple got engaged months before the official announcement was made and wanted to keep it a secret for as long as they could.
“And we didn’t do it for months and months after we had become engaged, but the reaction to it was really a lot, and so we were like, ‘Let’s just politely decline [to talk about the relationship] for a little while and live in our little bubble,” she added.
