‘Easy on Me’, Adele’s first song of the recently announced album ’30’ dropped on Thursday evening, marking the superstar’s comeback after nearly 6 years.
The video of the song, which has left social media users in awe, has been shot in black and white and encapsulates the story of the singer leaving her home before taking one final look.
The piano-dominated song is the perfect throwback to ‘Hello’, one of the most famous songs produced by the artist. The song also features producer Greg Kurstin’s touch, which has helped him win 8 Grammy Awards.

The song dropped a day nearly a day after the 33-year-old revealed the release date of her new album, which has been dubbed as ’30’. “I am ready to finally put this album out”, she wrote on her social media handles.

With giant hits like “Rolling in the Deep” and “Hello,” her previous two albums rank among the 50 biggest-selling in music history.
The disc “21” (she names her projects for her age while writing most of the music) was released in 2011 and has sold an estimated 31 million copies worldwide. The album “25” came out in 2015, and sold 22 million copies.
“I have learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way,” Adele wrote on Instagram. “I have shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I would go so far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.”
‘Easy on Me’, within an hour of its release had gained more than 760,000 views and 501,000 likes, paving its way to becoming yet another super hit song produced by Adele.
