Raquel Welch, who played the villainess in ‘The Summer of George,’ the eighth season finale of Seinfeld, died on Wednesday, died on Wednesday after brief illness, her manager Steve Sauer said in a statement. She was 82.

Sauer told PEOPLE that Welch ‘passed away peacefully early this morning after a brief illness’. “Her career spanned over 50 years starring in over 30 films and 50 television series and appearances. Welch was recognized as an ‘international sex symbol’ after her bikini picture from 1966’s One Million Years B.C. went viral. She also featured in The Shawshank Redemption and Legally Blonde. The actor was associated with more than 70 films and TV shows.

After the 82-year-old’s death, fans have been talking about her and Italian actor Sophia Loren’s ageless beauty. Loren, who did films like Two Women and Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, is one of the last surviving major stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

“RIP to a classic beauty. Someone please bubble wrap Sophia Loren,” a Twitter user wrote.
