“Woah!” fame and American Hip Hop star Black Rob on Saturday died at the age of 51, according to fellow Hip Hop star DJ Self’s Instagram post. The former Bad Boy Records artist reportedly passed away at a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Even though no official cause of death has been announced, in 2015, the artist suffered a series of strokes and was admitted to a medical facility earlier in April.

In the announcement post, DJ Self wrote an emotional message for the recently deceased artist on Instagram and captioned the post with, “Lord knows I tried to get help …… I’m sad to say RIP to Black Rob ….. Passed away in the hospital in Atlanta.”
Van Silk gave a heartfelt statement to Hip Hop DX on Saturday in which he recalled his favourite memories with Black Rob. He said, “We’ve lost another member of our Hip Hop family. Many may have been unaware that Black Rob has been sick over the years until Mark Curry posted the video from the hospital. My memory of Black Rob was when he used to come by DJ Kay Slay’s studio to do the mixtapes. He was someone who you would just wanna hang around with. May my brother Rest In Heaven”, reported Hip Hop DX.

Soon after the announcement, reactions on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter started pouring in, paying respect to the artist. Fans were quick to share their favourite live shows, albums and tracks produced by Black Rob while fellow artists from the Hip Hop fraternity posted old pictures with him.
